Differences between NR and NBR of Rubber Expansion Joint

NR and NBR are the common rubber material used in double ball rubber expansion joints producing.

However, they are of different features and are of different functions. Differences between NR and NBR

are as follows:

Natural rubber (NR) mainly contains rubber hydrocarbon with a small amount of protein, water,  resin

acids, carbohydrates and inorganic salts, etc.. The advantages of NR are large flexibility, high elastic

modulus and tear resistance and excellent electrical insulation, good abrasion resistance and drought

tolerance, good adhesion,it is better than most synthetic rubber in  in comprehensive performance.

NBR is the copolymer of butadiene and propylene fine. It’s particularly great in resistant to gasoline and

fat hydrocarbon oils, just a little bit worse compared with sulfur rubber, acrylic and fluorine rubber, but

better than other general rubber. Good heat resistance, air tightness, wear resistance and water

resistance, strong adhesion etc.

NR and NBR are made by different chemical material and are of different functions, customers should be

noted about the differences between them.
