Flexible Rubber Pipe Joint Material Introduction

Flexible rubber pipe joint are widely used for pipeline connections, mainly to reduce noise, vibration, compensate for displacement and distortion. Rubber joints not only can be installed in poor condition areas but also used in complex medium running pipeline, due to the different rubber materials, the applicable areas also vary a lot.

1. Natural rubber (NR): the most commonly used rubber, has excellent compressive and tensile properties, and resistant temperature is up to +80℃, also the adhesion of the rubber very good, can be mixed together with other kinds of rubber.

2. Chloroprene rubber (CR): a very good acid and alkali resistant material, can transport a wide range of simple acid and alkaline liquid, such as sewage which has many unknown impurities.

3. Butyl rubber (IIR): a wear resistant material. Some medium has small solid impurities, like Steelworks pipeline. The impurity particles wash and erode the rubber joints, so their inner rubber should be butyl rubber to resist friction for long time using.

4. Nitrile rubber buna (NBR): this rubber is an oil resistance oil material. Other rubbers soaking in oil for certain time will become puffy influence the sealing performance.
